ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, came to me the day I was to be married and sat on my bed as you (Khalid Ibn-Thakwān) are sitting now. Our young girls were playing their drums and singing in praise of my father and paternal uncles killed in the battle of Badr, until one of them said, “And among us is a Prophet who knows what the future holds.” The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him told her: “Refrain from saying this and carry on with what you were saying before.” ”

A man asked, "Messenger of God, who are the best of people?" He replied, "Those who live long and do good deeds." [The man] asked, "Then who are the worst of people?" He, peace and blessings of God be upon him, replied, "Those who live long and do bad deeds." Click on ḥadīth to read more
